I am a firm believer that everyone is a hockey fan — they just might not know it yet!
From a young age, I knew that I wanted to work in professional hockey; it was not initially apparent, however, how I would achieve that.
An internship with Hockey Hall of Fame broadcaster and author Stan Fischler in high school enflamed my passion for writing about the sport. As I pursued my degree in print and multimedia journalism at Emerson College (while simultaneously working at the Boston Globe and sports radio station WEEI), I gradually began to find my voice behind the microphone as well.
My experiences in Boston eventually led me to California for an internship with the ECHL's Ontario Reign, which morphed into a full-time role as the team's play-by-play broadcaster and media relations executive; at the time, I was the youngest broadcaster in the ECHL. During this time, I also made valuable contributions to the Reign on the ticket and corporate sales side of the business, and helped the team earn the 2014 ECHL Ticket Department and Organization of the Year awards.
From 2015 to 2022, I served as the director of communications and broadcasting of the Orlando Solar Bears, where I had the honor of being selected to the NHL Network broadcast team for the 2022 Warrior ECHL All-Star Classic in Jacksonville.
In the summer of 2022, I accepted the role of media specialist with the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.
I possess over 650 games of play-by-play experience and a proven track record of story placement and media relations at the local, regional and national levels, along with digital content and social media production with a direct result in generating revenue via ticket sales and corporate sponsorship.
